Think the recall was for dry shampoo that contained benzene, not for this product.
However this product (or at least a prior formulation) has small amounts of the preservative DMDM hydantoin which releases formaldehyde. The amount is probably insignificant, but there was a class action [classaction.org] about this, and the product "Dove Anti-Dandruff Shampoo - Dryness & Itch Relief" is listed right in the middle of the list.
Not sure why you got all the TDs for asking a legitimate question. I got a TD for posting a question about this in the previous deal a few days ago.​

In for 3, but now I need the conditioner too. This stuff saved me a few summers ago. Scalp itching for a year, tired all kinds of shampoo finally Dermatologist recommended the Dove dermacare, instant relief. Now if I travel without it and use a hotel shampoo I am instantly itching, so I pack travel size of the dove.

I use this stuff. Very good shampoo for dandruff. However, someone posting it has formaldehyde has just scared the bananas out of me. I intend to not use it anymore.
