From my experience with 2 separate Latitude orders with FedEx Recycling, the condition of your "Grade A" purchase will be extremely YMMV. My two Latitudes arrived looking quite used. Some do better. There's no way of knowing what you're going to get in advance. You might get a "Grade A" that arrives like a "Grade C", or you may get a "Grade B" that arrives as a "Grade A". It just depends on their inventory.

The 2 that I received looked like I was the 3rd or 4th owner. I've seen laptops at the Electronics Recycling Depot in better condition, but those were likely owned personally - not corporate or government loaners.

These are likely off lease and I bought one last month. The manu date was 2020 and it has a slight scuff (which I don't care about) but the brick was brand new and so was the battery. The screen appeared new also but I cannot confirm if it was a new SKU but there were no irregularities or scratches. At some point I will open it up and clean it out if it wasn't already completed.

If it show up B-grade then I would just contact Dell and have them replace it. There is no C-grade in Dell refurb so one cannot really define that.

Echoing that the FedEx refurbished laptops are trash (or at least hit or miss). I bought one a month ago, it's the first time the green refurbished sticker under the laptop said refurbished by FedEx supply chain. The screen is scratched, the hinge is broken, there's some gross schmutz on the top of the laptop. They didn't even clean it let alone refurbish it.

I've been buying refurbished dells for literally 20 years, since way back when their primary outlet was Dell_Financial_Services on eBay. I never had a problem until this recent one, and they're giving me a hard time about returning it and "15% restocking fee".

I would never buy another refurbished dell as long as FedEx is doing the "refurbishing "

Been a while since I bought one but they were always fine. Sometimes the new laminate is off a little (like a small bump/wrinkle) but they would give me some money back if I got Grade-A

That's my point they're not fine since fedex has picked up the refurbishing.

Dell used to do a great job when they did it in house.

Very possible it has gone down hill. I may have missed the cut off Smilie

I haven't gotten any because I still got like 8 dell laptops in the house I should clear out!

I recently ordered from this site and received a PERFECT unit. It had one blemish on the outside while all of the wearable items such as keys, ports, etc were unused. The screen was also perfect.

I also recently ordered from this site and received a nearly perfect laptop. I ordered B grade but it looks nearly brand new. It does not say FedEx refurbished on the label.

I received mine $300 7310 two weeks ago. It arrived in a reasonable 'grade A' condition but the battery was heavily worn (less than 29 Wh vs 52 Wh spec) Emailed Dell to complain this issue and received a new battery after a week. After a easy installation, the battery issue has been solved.

However, the laptop ran into several blue screen incidents on Windows 11 with error codes related to 'Memory management' or 'Security Module'. It even once restarted into BIOS with 'memory error' warning and loud beep. After some googling, I downloaded the memtest86 to test. The test went on for about 3 hours . It found 35 DRAM errors with a big FAIL printed on the screen! It also pointed out that all bad address was between 7GB and 9GB, so I guess one DRAM chip went bad. The DRAM is soldered on the motherboard, I cannot ask for another parts replacement and DIY at home, like I did for the battery. This was the 1st time that I ever experienced DRAM hardware failure. I also ran Dell Diagnostic Tool with F12 but it didn't find any error after 40 min of memory testing.

Dell offers me a replacement for the same grade model but I refused. Too much troubles. It will be returned with refund.
