when i went back to a 1-person trip, it came up higher probably because most are for 'based on double occupancy' rates.
Yep! Go in, set a timer on your phone, say no, don't ask questions...leave. Easy peasy.
I am MGM Gold, resort fees waived
I am Hyatt Gloablist so Rio will waive the resort fee even with a third party booking and yeah just like I said before, check-in and make the room look occupied so you don't risk your return flight getting canceled.
