Open Box 2023 is only about $50 more at Best Buy. That one has 16GB on board vs 8GB on board for the 2022 as well as a better specs all around, minus the light up lid. New vs used though.

Anybody know how well Linux runs on this? On paper - all AMD is supposed to be better, but ive heard mixed reviews on this unit.

Hoping the problems have been solved by now.

This is a great deal this was 1000 bucks a year ago (on sale). This should still be a totally adequate gaming machine and the form factor is great.

Disagree. I returned mine for a legion 7 slim because the best buy near me ran out of stock and I still miss the rog for its size and looks.

Anyone knows how much RAM you can add (and any recommendations) ?

I saw a video where you can add 32GB but "only" 32 out of the 40 is recognized.

I'm assuming a 24GB stick if those exist would be the good option ?

Got my 699 order canceled 3 times and lost my interest at 799, as it is a 2 year old machine and even though it matches the 4060 model in raw graphics performance, it's not that appealing anymore for 799, still I would dare to say it's the best value nowadays, because for this money you can only find crappy 4050 laptops, but idk, after seeing for 699 and getting the order canceled 3 times kinda soured it for me.
