I agree. They can't release a half azzed product and expect glaring reviews. As a consumer, I want to know what heaping POS I am avoiding.

lol NO. you can get a tesla model Y for $35k after fed rebate direct from tesla.
That is true, but that is also a base model Y that you are comparing a top of the line Ocean Extreme to. You have to at least compare it to a Model Y Performance.

true but that has income restrictions to qualify for rebates.
Unless you lease (then buy at end of lease) - that bypasses the income limits

yup.
USA could try Nio's solution of replacing batteries instead of charging batteries at truck stops.
takes 3-5 min
But dont think thats gonna happen
Tesla did a study on this very thing. The reason Tesla does not swap batteries, is because in their study, the majority of people would swap their batteries in 3 minutes, then park the car and walk inside and grab a drink, bathroom, etc. By the time they came out, the people had taken 15 mins on average. This is why Tesla shoots for 15 min charges as the golden number.

But charging will be getting faster very soon regardless. Nio is rolling out its 900V architecture which adds 150 miles in 5 minutes.

he isn't wrong.
EV still a net negative to the environment.
making batteries
disposal of batteries
powering EV still mostly done by non environment friendly ways

low key. if ICE consistently goes over 50% efficiency and gets closer and closer to 70%, less and less need for EV. mazda/toyota/nissan making solid improvements.
Lol this is all false information and they've been trying for 130 years to get ICE above 30%.

I'm predicting future. Tons of Chinese Car batteries, mountains and artificial islands made from junk. People will be riding horses again 🙄. Youtu.be has many new videos from Russia since they are still under restrictions from car manufacturers, China selling them all junk and EVs failed in cold winter seasons.

LOL, Waiting for the rest to follow suit so the industry can focus on advanced Hybrid and Hydrogen tech. This Battery tech is a few decades away if that. They need to find a replacement for strip mining in Africa to make these "GREEN" car batteries.
50% of Lithium mining comes from Australia and it's better for the planet than

1. Ships transporting oil using heavy fuel oil.
2. Oil spills polluting the oceans and land
3. Oil refineries pumping smog into the air
4. ICE engines wasting 70% of gasoline's potential energy as heat

There are problems with EVs, like the fact that batteries are prohibitively expensive to replace when they wear out or recycling needing to improve, but "strip mining in Africa" isn't one of them.

Hydrogen has been a viable alternative for over a two decades but the hurdles for adoption are bigger than pure EVs. You can plug your car in to charge but there are very few hydrogen fueling stations.

If it wasn't native people's land in Chile, it'd be oil pipelines in native people's land.

I'm not saying it's perfect. There are improvements that need to be made (sodium-ion batteries may replace lithium for cheaper cars, for example), but the overall environmental impact is significantly less.

That said, replacing cars with public transit ala New York City or Europe is far better.

If you want an electric car get a Tesla. If you want a hybrid get a Toyota. If you want hydrogen then you are an idiot.
