I'm a somewhat recovering flashlight addict. IMO, the brand is a decent budget brand for getting good value for what you pay. "Better" than the no name/mult named Chinese brands, but not a top brand like Surefire, Convoy, etc. I've bought a few Sofirns (and sister company Wurkkos) and don't mind having them at work office, in my bag, at home, etc.

The Anduril 2 interface is a bit wonky to learn, but there are picture (and wallet sized cards) cheat sheets that are helpful to get to the flashlight output you want (brightness, strobe, etc).
I have 4, well 5 of these now. I love this flashlight. Super small, really bright, nice mix of throw and flood. Led in the switch so you can find it (you can turn it off if you like). This is my daily driver.
It is a really nice light for the price.

To my knowledge this SC31 Pro is the upgraded version to the SC31B. I have the SC31B and purchased it a while ago. Still going strong but at double the lumens and this awesome green color now, I may have to upgrade.

lol! Ya, I'm a 5k temp fan or even lower for indoor use.

That said, the kit is currently 32.77 on Sofirn's website so this is still a pretty good deal.

Sc33 has more lumens and is a tail switch (tactical) light. Different use cases but generally the SC33 is better.

I've been in a few operating rooms and the light is blinding! Which I guess is a good thing for what they're doing in there.

I saw one person mention the light from this one, even though it's rated at 6500, that it wasn't overly blue. But I suppose it could be subjective. People's eyes are different. That said, I do prefer the warmer tones. However, from my limited experience, I believe the warmer tones do lose a few lumens compared to the cooler ones.

As corrosive mentioned, both lights have different intended uses. Generally speaking, I think if it's just light you're looking for, between these two, the SC33 would probably be the one you'd want. However, it's a little bigger, and uses a different larger (21700) battery.

SC33
5200 lumens
1.25" x 5.15"
21700 battery
XHP70.3 hi led emitter

SC31 Pro
2000 lumens
1" x 4.06"
18650 battery
SST40 led emitter

Why are people so nutso over Sofirn? The amount of comments and posts for this brand is weird.

Just to be clear, this is a serious question. I have no idea.

Does the SC33 throttle when it's on the highest setting?
