This seems like a crazy deal given the astronomical markup on the upgrades and for very few people I am sure they know how to max this out. However many people would be dramatically better served by the M2 Max that goes on sale for $1795 very frequently and might get even better when the M3 studio comes out

Received an brand new Mac M1 Ultra in Apple's sealed case. An additional non Apple C5 power cord comes with the shipping box. Opened the box, comes with an original but non USA plug power cord. Any suggestions what to do? Return it and wait for m3 max for the same specifications? Any advantage in this old beast? I do a lot of photo editing, light video and some AI.

Make sure you use the non Apple cord to plug it in. No don't return. it, m3 will be more money. It's not old, it's just previous gen.

Oh, and thanks for ruining my upcoming unboxing experience.

Woot just offered me a $200 partial refund or a return and full refund or to try and get me a replacement. I took the 200. I just emailed asking for RMA or a 10% credit.
