Random question. Why would someone pay you what you paid when they can get it from Costco themselves?

Your issue is Marketplace. Not gold.

Costco needs to sell the ammo too. What's the holdup?
You need to take Tool's advice and ,"...learn to swim" and reload your own.

…their bunker gonna be full of gold coins, Costco canned food, and ammo.
Nothing wrong with that. Although I do not think a bunker is the way to go. 40 acres of farmable land in a rural area will be much better for the future. SHTF cometh...

I bought one to reach a credit card promo thinking I would off-load it for what I paid for it. I listed it at-cost on fb marketplace and I've received nothing but scammers and lowballers. This has been a PITA to resell.
Sell to a local coin or metal shop, they will give you spot price, at least all the ones I've been to do

AlanTheWoo, gotta find the stacker community, tons of IG. search silver degenerates Smilie

Also a fair number on youtube.

might be easier to sell at spot or slightly above from coin shops, price around, some will low ball and some will give generous offers. apmex, jm bullion, sd bullion, hero bullion, etc.

I've had it listed for nearly 30 days at $2200. My only catch - I'm only selling cash in-hand at a local police station.
In theory it makes sense that would be safe, but that's not how things work in the real world.
Bringing $2,200 to a police station may not be your safest bet. They routinely go out and "seize" cash from all over the place.

Don't bring it directly to them! Recipe for disaster imo.

just so COST can pay for more "sales" after disappointing quarter of only selling $1.50 dogs
Sense makes you not.

Is 20 pound for the weight like 30 pounds if a guy lifts?

No gym for home, work out floor with 30, but is it for 20 like 30 lb when you no lift it to be for men, for 30 lbs instead? or half is 10 for 20 pounds?

Ended up being below spot price after you factor in the 2% cashback rewards from the Costco Visa. Free money is the best kind!

Honest dumb question, why do people buy gold like this vs something like an ETF?

Majority of people don't actually buy to own gold. They just flip so they need into MIN spend offers on credit cards. So they take a loss on selling the gold which is made up by the points or cash bonus paid by the Credit Card company

Spot is at the bid price $150 more off this offer price !! Check the actual market b4 falling for these long weekend "deals" , just so COST can pay for more "sales" after disappointing quarter of only selling $1.50 dogs
Current gold spot price is $16 below this. Easily make $ with 2% back in CC rewards, even more if you have the bonus 2% from executive membership.
