Specs:
Easy to attach, detach and clean
Forged Stainless Steel cutting blade. Includes two (2) Stainless Steel grinder plates, medium and coarse
Precision engineered all metal food grinder attachment specifically designed to fit all Kitchen Aid stand Mixers.
Item Package Weight: 4.9 pounds

I came across this while looking for something else. Amazing price, I would jump on it except I bought it 2017 and its still going strong. A very good product. And the last time this items was posted was 2017-2019. This price is near half those prices back then.

Complete side note: there's a review with photos showing what aluminum does when you stick it in the dishwasher. Yeah, don't stick it in the dishwasher. Even the steel parts can lose their sharp. I wash it all by hand and mine still looks and works great.

It is indeed free, and you are absolutely correct re ability to return it if anything is quirky.

Do you use yours often? What for?
I'm intrigued to have more KitchenAid attachments but feel I wouldn't use it enough to justify the cabinet storage space.

wifey is Thai, she uses ground pork all the time. It's like 5 bucks a lb in the store, $1/lb if you get a pork butt and grind it up. Use the vacuum sealer and sharpie the contents/dates on the top band. Get some natural casings and seasoning and cut the top off a 1 liter bottle for a stuffer, you got sausage. And hamburger is expensive but chuck goes on sale, you can make your own lean high quality burger. I haven't done ground chicken but was intrigued. Might be good for ravioli.

Now the things I have that I haven't used are the pasta rollers/cutters. I have made homemade pasta and its way better than the store stuff, and I had a manual roller which was a workout. But, I haven't gotten motivated enough to use it yet. I had an extrusion pasta maker and it was crap, little hairs come off the sides and it curls up, like a playdoh toy. You boil that up and it makes a gross mess in the water.

i was thinking about getting the ice shaver attachments when they were on sale, not sure it would get used much but looked batter than the plastic models at target. That may really not get used.

What about you?

Oh and it actually takes up a lot less space when disassembled. I generally keep all if it in the mixing bowl, and the pan vertically off to the side. works well that way, I don't keep it out for a showpiece

I have the pasta roller/cutter - it works great. I don't know if I use it enough to be "worth it" but I have enjoyed using it. Totally different experience than trying to use a hand roller.
I also have the ice cream bowl that you freeze- I have only used it once. It worked. But it takes a lot of space and requires a lot of free freezer space and planning ahead.

Ha yes exactly on the ice cream, that freezer space went ages ago!
