A: Yes – the entire cabinet (minus door handles) is made of durable, powder-coated 24 gauge steel.

Yes, it did.....no dings, dents, or any other damage. Looks great and holds weight well.
That's not true. There are 2 rectangular magnets at the top corners of both doors that keep the door closed even when the lock is disengaged. Every time you pull either door open you have to overcome this magnetic force. When the doors are closed they are held closed by these magnets.
Kind of shallow

Interesting. I'm going to check mine because the doors frequently open themselves. Worst case I can put some magnets of my own there for a quick fix. Thanks for the guidance there

Is there something special about this one compared to the other color options? White with silver is $105. Also what's up with the pre-order verbiage.... "This item is scheduled to be released on June 1, 2024" shipping says I can get it by Tuesday. Confused

It was one of the things I was wary of, before receiving it, along with potential shipping damage, which turned out ok. Was fortunate on one count, but not the other.
(BTW, it's not the usual Amazon guy in the van who delivers these things; bulky item deliveries are handled by a couple guys who show up in a box truck, and it's helpful to be around to tell them where to drop it.)
The unit I received late last year lacked the magnets. Whether that was unintentional, or some sort of running production change is unknown. The issue is illustrated in this video, so it's not some sort of isolated incident:

But otherwise, these cabinets are solid for the price, and this price is a bit lower than what they usually sell for. I wouldn't pay anywhere near the $200+ "normal" price, but I wouldn't hesitate to buy another at the typical "sale" price. If one isn't picky about the looks, there is usually one color combo on sale at one time or another, and the situation fluctuates pretty frequently.
The YT assembly video made by "Bob" of Albany County Fasteners is long, but most comprehensive, has some good tips, and is better than the manual that some find are missing from their boxes.

Maybe they, and the missing magnets, were hiding in a back room in the factory having a smoke, and why they never made it into the box.
Kind of shallow
That's why I passed hopeful for 18-20 inches instead.
Tinfoil thickness
