If you already have the regular encore, may be worth doing a burr upgrade yourself.
Isn't the burr upgrade just better for espresso? I have the regular encore with the original burr but just use it on the coarsest setting for cold brew.

The major difference for me is the noise. The ESP is much quieter.

The M2 burr upgrade is for more consistent grind, a bit faster and fewer fines. Used for pour over mostly.
That was a Baratza Encore. No ESP. Don't ask me what the difference is.
Edit: Oops, never mind, I see someone already replied to you.
My guess its all plastic and they need to compete with all other under $200 espresso grinders that popped out on the market recently.
