This is the same price at other retailers like Amazon and Samsung (see this post https://slickdeals.net/share/android_app/fp/935250 ) those don't include cover. I bought this and am very, very happy with it, would DEFINITELY recommend.

Much better than a Kindle Fire or ONN tablet. Good Tablet.
In pretty much every way? I'm getting sick of my fire tablets. The obnoxious OS, the lack of support for apps, and even with the fire toolbox thing I still have issues with my more recent tablet.
True, it's more pure Android which is good. But the performance of this thing is pretty much on the same level as the fire tablets. I have both, and I'm still within the return window for the A9, but I'm deciding to return the A9.
I guess you have to spend closer to $300 to get decent performance. The screen touch response didn't feel very good, and it's overall kinda of sluggish. Maybe just a bit better than the Fire tablets, but just too close to make them worth while.

Looks like you're right and Costco's specs are wrong. I thought the hole was an empty pen slot, but Samsung's site says the tablet isn't pen-compatible.
Any official statement from Samsung for how long they will support this tablet? I went to an iPad because I got tired of Samsung not supporting their tablets for more than 3 years. (Even the Galaxy Tab Sx.)

Too bad, i have been looking for a pen enabled tablet for my kids. Maybe should just go iPad but i dont know if google family will work, which is pretty good at controlling access
I'd recommend the tab S6 Lite over this if you want a pen. I came from fire devices and my God those were a pain. The S6 lite is a dream. You can also add a huge SD card to it, so just get the 64gb version to save some money. Unless you get the 128gb version of the A9+, you will still have the lower ram amount so keep that in mind. Either way, if you were considering a fire tablet, don't.
