Just ordered the 4070s for $599, and now I am tempted to get this instead.

the 4070 super is a tad quicker..not really worth 110$ difference..but has dlss and better rt performance. Less vram tho, and no fluid motion frames

this card is a better value but I wouldn't bother cancelling

Thanks, I will stick to the 4070s. It's arriving next Monday, and I can't wait to try it with Dragon Dogma 2 on 1440p resolutions.

I watched tons of videos, and it looks like the price per frame is much higher for 7800XT. But I will stick to the 4070s for the ray tracing and framegen. I don't know what that is, but I just want to try it.

Will I notice that much of a difference from a 6750 XT?

I would rather spend $50 more and get the 7900 gre. When did getting $10 off become a deal?

To me the 7800 XT is fairly dead until it drops to maybe $450-$470 range with the $550 7900 GRE now getting much more memory overclocking.. for only $50 (or $60 than this deal on a 7800 XT) more a 7900 GRE now can leave a 7800 XT in the absolute dust with some good memory overclocking where it was kneecapped the most. It's just way better value than a 7800 XT now.

Hardwareunboxed got their 7900 GRE to perform on the same level as a 4070 Ti Super in 4k raster which is an $800 card after they overclocked the card with the new limits set by AMD for the GRE.

I've been thinking hard about this gpu, I don't mind making the jump but this card is 332mm which won't fit in my case and would require a whole new case for me. Not sure if I want a new case.

I forgot to add, the 7900gre is 549$ and is a tad quicker than the 4070s

Thanks for the tips, now I have to watch another hundred comparison videos about those two.

I got the 7800 xt some time back but after 7900 gre was out. I don't regret it but it is now trivial with latest AMD drivers handily beat my 7800 xt and the 4070 super.
Even before the unlock on memory now, it was objectively a better card.
