Pro tip: you can get these way cheaper than this used on Facebook marketplace. At least in Southern California near LA. It's one of those items that people buy thinking it's a good idea but then get rid of.
The carbon filter cartridge replacements on this model are fairly plastic wasteful (though there is a method out there to disassemble and re-use them). At some point I need to upgrade to the newer model where you can simply refill carbon pellets only. And I believe capacity on that one is much larger. We are 2 adults and run this older model daily or more.

It just takes a small screwdriver to remove a lid on those canisters, and the small AC pellets, widely available, work just fine. Leave about 1/4 inch room on top, replace lid, good for about a year of daily use.

I suppose if you're determined and don't have room for a compost tumbler then these are a nice, but expensive, option.
