That's a smart WiFi controlled plug.
Your comparing something that requires WiFi to something that doesn't require WiFi and has its own remote. I have kasa plugs. You have to use your phone. For anyone who's techy and has great WiFi it's great but I wouldn't put a Kasa plug outdoors unless it was in a very dry secure safe place away from weather. This thing has a remote control and would more suit an older less techy person.
Trust me. I've tried getting my family to use the Kasa plugs and app. It's 10x easier than Amazon Alexa plugs. And they still can't figure it out and still come over and physically click the button on the plug
Look for Wyze outdoor duel (Individually wifi controlled) plagues that are normally priced at about $18 but frequently go on sale for $8-10
Have had several and even under heavy snow & extreme temperatures/outside conditions, they work flawlessly outside and the easy and the comfort of its use, I have change all my exterior and interior use with these, even Holidays/Christmas light etc, and best, even auto scheduling does the more than perfect job to replace any of dusk to dawn appliance.
Additionally, they give me electricity usage monitoring benefits and ease of programming to save on usage time etc!
Needless to say, even at regular prices and for a little more, these old tech stuff are just paperweight.
