They don't want us value-seekers patronizing them. We're too fiscally savvy for their high profit margin business models.

Chipotle seems to be the SD staple food though- ever notice how fast the gift Chipotle cards sell out? It's insanity.

And thanks to them, half or more of the burritos that their underpaid employees make always fall apart, no matter what you say at the line asking them to be careful.
Underpaid? By what estimation? The market decides your worth. If you feel that way, then why don't you give each one of them money?

Yes, they seem to have a lot of gift card deals and also Chipotle has had dozens and dozens of burrito deals. I'm not sure why all of the grousing about them not participating in the April 4 deal given they seem to put out deals fairly regularly. I'm not a Chipotle fan boy, rarely if ever eat there, but will state facts.

The breakfast burrito from Famer Boys is ~$10, so it's half off.

I'm in central CA, those chain burritos and tacos are not even close to the fresh made food that our immigrant's restaurants put out. I've tripped around the entire country on a road trip, and the Mexican food here is better than anywhere else I've ever been. Taco Bell and those places are basically food for people that don't like Mexican food.

They'll be desperate for customers to buy their overpriced burritos once the deep recession hits later this year. Anybody with any type of financial savvy can see there are bad times ahead.

Burritos are something that you would buy from a restaurant but never make at home.

I actually like my ground beef tacos made at home more than anything else from a Mexican restaurant. Taco Casa in Texas is the closest to that experience I've seen.
Christ dude did you really just rep "ground beef" tacos?

I prefer the Mexican food at taquerias and the like in Texas over CA, NM and Arizona aren't horrible. But if I'm in a pinch and there's nothing around, a Taco Bell isn't awful. Just don't expect pastor or anything like that.
