Just do a quick test, it's not that hard. Put them on and look directly at a light bulb. Dim and mid brightness ones should be completely invisible. 100w ones should be barely visible if you have good vision, but you should not be able to make out what it looks like. if you can still see stuff with the visors on, dont use them for solar viewing.
looking at a light bulb briefly, even with no protection on, will not damage your vision. just dont test it on the sun.

If your phone camera has a telescopic lens, very possible to damage it. It focuses the light. Without the magnification, I think you'd probably be okay.... But you probably wouldn't get a whole bunch of detail anyway..... it would be a waste of time at the very least.
and if you tried to take a picture through a viewfinder, it could also focus the light onto your eyeball looking through the viewfinder and quickly do serious damage... don't use any magnification without filtering the pre-magnified light for sure...
