TLDR: I'm not sure if they're doing the same with these batteries, but Amazon rigs the reviews for some of their products.

The last time I bought an Amazon Fire Tablet, I left a low review. Amazon called me to "discuss" my review and I restated my review, 3 or 4 issues that brought the score down to 2 stars. They said "ok" and then removed my review.

I tried multiple times to repost my review and they kept taking it down, saying that they looked into one of my issue and found it was not valid. Eventually, I reposted my review without talking about that one issue but they kept taking my review down for the same reason, the one issue that I didn't even mention anymore.

I lost faith in the rating score of ALL Amazon products after that. They're obviously putting their finger on the scale for their own products.

Side note, I think I can probably find ways for force my review in but I'd rather not since I think they may be petty enough to close my account for doing that.

Incase you're wondering what they "looked into" from my review, I mentioned that the Amazon App store was full of fake apps that look too real, for example, searching for "youtube" in their app store will result in stuff that looks very close to Google's YouTube but they aren't actually the YouTube app. I did sideload the Google Play Store for my tablet but I wanted to warn other users about Amazon's crappy app store

While the over 64,000 reviews are averaging 4.5 stars, when the reviews are sorted by "most recent," about 25% of the reviews over the last 6 months or so are quite negative. This suggests that there has been a compromise in quality made fairly recently. I will take a miss on these, even though the price is low and I presently need to add to my aaa rechargeables,

Amazon states it is made in China. That would be a hard "no."

If the battery deal here was made in Japan, this would be a very good deal.

I've got over 80 NiMH batteries, both AA and AAA, from Sanyo, Fujitsu, Ikea, Amazon and Eneloop that I've acquired over the last 10 years. Only had 1 battery fail on me. The rest still give me good reliable power. They were all made in Japan and have different chemistry and characteristics than the ones made in China.

These are oversized, larger than standard AA batteries. There are some applications where the batteries will not fit into the device.

these ruined the battery holder of my steam controller. not the best design i agree but the metal parts are bent permanently inside and smaller (normal size) AA batteries do not sit right anymore.

I don't see the 10% off any more. The 5% via subscribe and save still applies for those that are not 24 pack.

I bought these batteries And return them right away. They are thicker than regular AA batteries. And die quickly. Not hPpybTgall
