Yes, home depot is where the new bunch of fake reviews are at. Unfortunately, it's getting harder and harder to spot them. The give aways here are: The volume of reviews on the same date, English language that doesn't flow properly, and variety of details that most people would never list together in a single review.
They also get harder to spot because they get mixed in with real reviews.
With AI, it's going to get even worse.
I've started focusing on negative reviews of products to see the worst aspects of a product to get a more accurate idea of what to expect with the actual item I'll receive.
I've found the "Lifetime" brand of deck boxes to be pretty good, but they have their own problems too.
I tried to warn people of the review manipulation on the last posting of these. Got two thumbs down. Now I see more fake reviews on HD.
Frustrating.
Can you elaborate? I often come here for the opinions first. I like to get a feel before even going to the site where the deal is listed. Feels like the reviews here are often more organic and helpful, but maybe not...?

After rereading your post, I think you meant at the home depot site itself, not here. Tried to delete my post without success.

I've bought a number of outdoor deck/storage boxes in the past and felt like I was pretty familiar with the leading brands. What I'm seeing on the HD site right now, though, is a bunch of brands I've never heard of, with overly slick photos of their products, like EasyUp. Seems HD has followed the lead of Amazon and others and is marketing all this random stuff that seems a bit too inexpensive to be reliable quality.
I know nothing about EasyUp. But here's what I've seen from my experience with other brands:
- Suncast -- probably the best regular consumer brand for this kind of stuff. Pretty solid and doesn't warp. Have seen the color on some brightly colored items fade though. Usually have a good collection of designs and colors that make them look pretty classic and more like real furniture.
- Rubbermaid -- also not bad in terms of sturdiness. Smaller product line for deck boxes though. Many of their boxes are overly boxy and plasticky looking -- basically looking like a huge tupperware on your patio. But I've seen some more refined items that look nice.
- Keter -- probably closest competitor to Suncast, and a bit more regularly marked down. Not quite as sturdy, and maybe more prone to warping.
Shop around. Amazon, HD, Wayfair, Target, etc. all carry many of the same products, sometimes with big swings in price. Suncast is often a bit more expensive, but IMHO worth it. And if you can wait and set a price alert monitor the item in your cart, it will go on a good sale sooner or later. I've gotten great deals on all of these.
