Call me paranoid but Amazon has too many fake products to risk something like this on it
Yeah - there's a chance you may never see that seller again.
It's not unusual for Amazon sellers to lie and sell fake products and then disappear when issues come up.

Those of you that got free glasses at gas stations, libraries, etc, how are you sure that those glasses are safe as well?

I'd prefer to save my eyesight and get some legit glasses.

Review Checker says they are an F for reliability.
I went with the Lunt Solar ones, same price as on their website, but Amazon got me free shipping. Made in Germany, around $2 per pair.

Hadn't thought of looking this listing up on Review Checker, so am not sure how they're rated.

They said on the news most of these glasses are fake and NASA doesn't certify any glasses, you can Google it yourself. Most of these companies lie and say NASA certified when there's no such thing.

Go to American astrology society website. They have verified glass vendors.

Amazon says the MFG of these glasses are Jaxy Optical Instruments. Based on the AAS website they are an approve wholesaler. https://eclipse.aas.org/eye-safet...rs-filters. Everything seems to be matching up correctly.

Rely On US is only the company name reselling them and probably bought enough quantity to sale them at a higher price.

Check your local library. Most of them are giving out glasses free.

To be sure the glasses are good, don't trust anything in the description.
Ensure that the company is on the American Astronomical Society known vendors list AND that the seller on Amazon is either Amazon, or the vendor that made the glasses.
https://eclipse.aas.org/eye-safet...rs-filters

MedicalKing is both on the list, and are one of the cheapest vendors on Amazon

No way Im sticking a piece of cardboard and plastic and staring into the sun because they say its safe. Stuff is probably made in China anyways and Im sure they care a lot about our eyesight.

I will watch it on TV. Cool story huh?

While you are all right to be wary of fake brands, I do want to point out that EclipSee is a recognized vendor on the AAS website. So it MIGHT be worth it to see if they at least work like they should and if they don't return them, but seeing as they are at least recognized as a legit product/vendor, I think we are relatively fine
