YOU'RE telling everyone that in essence this must be unreliable because it's a good price. What did you base that on, that you don't like their website? If you aren't interested, why not just move along instead of overtly bashing quality based on...no evidence offered at all from you. So just a gut feeling?
If you don't trust reviews, and you don't trust deal posters, and you don't trust established brand names, then what exactly do you use as evidence to make purchase decisions?

I would reach out to Duralast.
If what you say is true, what you have is the equivalent of the person who drives over a million miles in their car. In those cases, the car maker might swap them for a new car. (They want to study the car and see what made it last)
The average lead acid last 3-4 years. If you are at 17 years, you are the unicorn of unicorns and they might be very interested in why it has lasted so long.
As for the user reporting good after a year...I think that was to advise that the quality of the internals do seem to be good and one should expect it to last like an AGM.
Try to keep up, guys 🤣
My Navigator would drain the battery, and not start if I let it sit for 3 days in the cold. That was with a Feb 2023 lead acid Interstate battery(costco, and that was my second one). Not an issue with my Everstart AGM battery(Wal mart).
The problem with buying this one, is the warranty. If you need to replace the battery, its probably a hassle. Costco, you just bring it back, and they take it.
Typically the first thing I do when I have power issues is replace the battery. If that doesnt help. Check the grounds, and then replace the alternator. I would have bought a Costco AGM, but they dont stock the one I need.
I think that I saw you live in FL. You may be able to get away with 500CCA as you are warmer year round.
I would say that the entire north does not have this level of forgiveness in the winter.
Lithium maintains higher output in the cold than lead acid does. I said that much in a previous comment. Also, why would you think warmer climates would allow for lower CCA to work? CCA stands for cold cranking amps. It's the minimum amount of amps the battery should be able to put out at 32 Fahrenheit. Most batteries can do more than their CCA rating at normal temperatures.

You keep saying Lithium like it is immune to the cold. It is not.
Lead Acid....AGM....Lithium... the power output...AKA CCA.... is reduced in colder temps.
Ever hear of putting batteries in the fridge to store them?
Those are not lead acid either. They are alkaline.
All of these batteries produce the power they have by a chemical reaction.
That chemical reaction will be slower in very cold temps.
You are getting by with a less powerful battery, partially because you are in FL.
And I am glad that it is working for you. You definitely lucked out.
I do stand by my statement that most mid sized and larger vehicles come factory with more power than 550CCA batteries. And they do so for a reason. Coupled with the very different winters in the north, this is not really a viable option for a huge percent of people.

Wal-Mart on the other hand have a full replacement warranty on their EverStart batteries.

They claim it's to extend batt life. It doesn't work. POS went dead in new work truck 1.5 yrs old 🤣
A/C broke 3 times by 30K miles. Radiator leaked and water pump tried to grind it's way off the engine. Amazing quality. 35k mi and I expect it'll make it to 50 something before tranny or engine goes. But corporations are dumb and love buying GM trash.
