Mine at 100% charge gets 175 miles of range (don't turn on the climate because that knocks it down to 160 miles), dealer says they are working on a fix. But won't look at the car.

You may want to look at the Hyundai Ioniq 6. Rated for 360 mile range on a 100% charge, and Hyundai's been doing $7,500 cashback to offset the ineligibility for federal credits. And if you're really lucky, your state won't charge sales tax—NJ didn't for mine.

With the current price of hydrogen at fueling stations, it costs over $200 to fill the tank, which gets you 300 miles of range. Until they can get that price down to match the price of gas and greatly increase the number of fueling stations, hydrogen vehicles will not take off.

Lease deals can't be replicated in TX as you'll have to pay sales tax on the whole vehicle price and this would offset the deal anyway. Unless the dealer is willing to give Tax credit, which I doubt. I'll be happy to be proved wrong.

Just an FYI - EVs in TX attract $200 extra registration fee annually.

lol..tell that to the 800 Ford employees who were let go with building the electric truck. Dealers are having a hard time selling them due to little demand.

Hydrogen is dead for cars (for now) Also, most hydrogen is dirty. Manufacturing it from gas and releasing CO2. This together with it's inefficiencies makes it useless currently.

But,
Heavy industry is investing heavily in green hydrogen. Big efficient electrolyzers that can make H2 from water and electricity are the new thing. Still pretty inefficient but now you'll have somewhere to dump your excess wind/solar energy. Lithium battery farms are expensive. Look up Electric Hydrogen. This company just got 500 million. Once cheap, green hydrogen gets its legs, hydrogen will boom.

The lease deals on the 6 right now are crazy good.
SE trim is $239/mo with zero down (other than 1st month payment) for 24 months

It's also a way better vehicle than the Solterra/bz4x twins which frankly just suck in most aspects.

see, you just proved my point. Instead of enjoying your road trip you now gotta tie every meal to a recharge stop. What if you wanna go eat somewhere, where there's no charger? What if you are not hungry? What if you all charging stalls are full? What if someone parked his big truck in one of charging slots and now you are stuck? You do you of course, but those folks here who could use less complexity in their lives are much better off with traditional car for the trips

I was actually almost interested until I found it has a towing capacity of ZERO. It has a trailer hitch looking thing for like bike racks and such that can hold an amazing 100 pounds.

The majority of time you will just plug in at night and have a full charge by morning, so not going to be waiting around much. Dirt cheap to charge at home as well. Only time I used public charging was on a 1500 mile road trip and it was nice to get an occasional 15 min. break at stops to rest. You don't charge to 100% at each stop, only enough to get you comfortably to next station or final destination.

I have been shopping SUVs and one of the dealers told me they are having a difficult time moving EVs. I am guessing because we have learned more about the true environmental impacts of EVs, difficulties of longer range travel, and power grid issues that lead to uncertanty.

Until EV's become convenient to use and operate, the majority of drivers will avoid them. Only the climate extremists are pushing for these not ready for prime time machines now. EV's may be useful in the distant future, but not now. Hydrogen would be a better solution anyway as it could easily be adapted to the existing infrastructure.
