Never was dinosaurs. Not enough biomass, most likely plankton from prehistoric oceans.

Contains 25% vegetable oil?
Not exactly but you're kind of right. So if this is using the base oil I'm thinking of, they basically build a Group III base oil from bio derived carbon molecules. It isn't like the usual pressing of oil from plants like we use for cooking. Instead it's a chemical process that starts with carbon chains from a bio source, instead of crude oil, and then goes through a similar process of hydrotreating/cracking to create a Group III base oil which functions just like other Group III base oils that were made from crude. The only difference is it's not from crude which also means less impurities like sulfur. Shell's GTL is made from natural gas sourced carbon chains and it's a great base oil with properties that make it a Group III+

I think "renewable" is kind of overused but this product doesn't use as much crude oil so if that's your thing then this product is for you. For the rest of us, this stuff functions just like the other basic Group III products like Kirkland, etc.

I'm assuming you will change oil again sometime in the future? Just store it I side room temp and you will be good for years.

Probably on clearance because it didn't sell well. Reminds me of Valvoline Nextgen.

For what it's worth, doing a quick scan over at Bob the oil guy, it seems like this PRO-RS oil is well received and not just greenwashing.

It's an extremely high quality product from a very reputable company. Only the Jan6 cultists and flat earthers are dumb enough to think otherwise.

It was! However I get why it failed. The general public didn't want recycled oil... similar to this product, people are (rightfully) concerned that it might harm their engine so it didn't sell.
