Keyboard not included. So this is basically a $500 Windows tablet with a 3 generation old Intel processor.

Yes, one that Dell appears to be currently selling new for over $2k.

Haha, reminds me of Lenovo's retail prices. I guess someone must have a use case for these, but for most people, something like a Thinkpad Nano would work so much better.

Don't understand the negativity. Check out Surface Pro pricing and this is a steal. Official keyboard is $112 at Amazon, so you are getting a top end Surface Pro 8 level device for $612. Compare Surface Pro and iPad Pro 12.9 pricing with keyboards to compare.

The biggest issue is the CPU. I must not understand the Intel numbering system or something, but this is the slowest 11th Gen CPU I've ever seen. The i7-1165G7 absolutely kills it, even the i5-1135G7 blows it away. Since they are all 15W processors, I don't get why the i7-1180G7 is such a slug. Also, the Surface Pro has a 2880x1920 display compared to the 1920x1200 on this one.

1165G7 and 1135G7 are actually 28W according to intel. And the 1180G7 can be run in 7W mode. So the answer is that the 1180G7 has to run at very low TDP to work inside a tablet. https://ark.intel.com/content/www...662,208663

Fair point about the screen, although I do think 1200p is plenty for 13" display.

I have a i7-1165G7 (convertible lappy), and I agree that the i5 of that gen would have been better for battery life with little to no downside in speed.

However, I have had no issues with my laptop aside from Lenovo's phantom drain. Their advantage software also only allows either 60% charge or 100% charge. Wish they'd allow 80% charge for usability and battery longevity. Maybe the i7 and the throttled software is why I got it for $800.

but if someone wants the detachable feature for $500, it's not a bad price for a computer to do basic Internet and video tasks. just don't think you'll be able to use it on a plane. the seat backs won't allow the hinge stand. I have an 8" tablet for travels.
