Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+ 5G tablet at Metro for $49.99. Add it as a second line with minimum $20 data plan. I'm just ordered mine few minutes ago. it was showing OOS until last night but it became available this morning. Sounds like a pretty good deal to me. don't really need it but why not at this price. Total paid $75 with $20 data plan and $4.xx taxes.

FYI - for those not aware - you'd need to have an existing Metro account to be able to purchase this tablet (or any other device as a second/additional line. Like any other Metro phones, this tablet purchase is prepaid, and so you are not locked into any kind of contract. You only need to pay for the tablet and first month of data plan. Then you are free to cancel the service, keep the tablet just as a regular wifi device. This is my first time buying a Metro tablet but I'm still hoping it will unlock after 6 months just like any other Metro phone.

Warning ? ️ - try not to go to Metro stores. They are in general scammers and will try their best to treat you like a fool and steal your money by forced up selling and forced mandatory accessories, exorbitant taxes, and insurance with or without your consent. Try ordering online. You've been warned ??????
Also, if you buy online, there's no activation fees and tax applies to the discounted price. You'll save yourself good cash and respect and a way better deal if you order online.

I think you should put not 49.99 price in the title but 69.99 as a new line of 20 bucks is required.
Saw it added to their website yesterday but it was not in stock.
Called to order through customer service but order didn't go through.

Tried again on the website and was able to order one just now.

Better than buying the Costco WI-FI only version for double the price!
Don't ask me how I know this...

You're getting that reply because your browser couldn't connect to the authentication server Metro uses.

Could be an adblocker, host file, etc. Or even your ISP could be doing it.

The simple answer is to turn off any and all adblockers, script blockers etc.

When everything is working correctly you'll see three challenge questions to authenticate your identity.

And before you say it, yes they do this even if you've already logged in with your Metro account to purchase the tablet. It seems they do the three challenge questions on every order regardless of whether you're already a customer or not.

To sum it up, you need to find what's blocking the connection to that authentication server. I found that turning off all adblocking etc, and opening an incognito tab on my phone, which had WIFI off, and connecting through my mobile network fixed this problem several times.

Good luck

it doesn't have eSIM on it as well, but some comments here said eSIM on it, it is shame....
Post a link to a post in this thread that said this Metro A9+ has an eSIM. You're like one of those people who paid less than $10 for lunch but expect a New York Steak with all the trimmings.

I am going to do this after 6+ months, cos I am not sure if swapping with Tmobile SIM now will overwrite any unlock software or Metro won't identify this as its own device later during the unlock process..
It shouldn't... If it even accepts your Tmo sim will be the interesting part.

some one did it with their second tablet few posts ago. They activated using the Metro SIM , took it out and used a TMO SIM, it replaced the Metro splash with TMO splash screen and they were good to go. It is still locked to Metro but you can use the TMO SIM due to the new Samsung UI. ?

Yes. I was able to use a T-Mobile voice line sim in the tablet. I did switch back to metro before the plan expired and left it on metro version just in case it messes with the unlock.

Others have tried this with the one plus nord phones previously from metro that were allowing T-Mobile sims for some reason. Not sure how unlock worked on them

Thanks, though I activated online before I got the tablet ( during the extension period) I was never able to use the 5G data , only on Wifi so not sure if they consider it "activated" . I do see the number assigned to the tablet and the payment due.

Buy a number to port, buy a 'free' Metro phone with a port in, that's going to cost you $50 or so. In six month when your phone unlocks sell it for $50 or more to recoup your 'investment'

Received my tablet today... I know it's probably right there in front of me, but I can't find the uninstall apps in the menu? Anyone know where it is?

Get a Google Voice number then pay Google $3 to unlock it for porting out. I did that 3 times to buy 3 iPhones. I think you can buy a number from Numberbarn.com for $5 for porting.
