Seems like a decent price. But, keep in mind that this thing is really small. 48oz isn't much. Stanley tumbler is 40oz for example.

Brittle plastic, chances are it'll arrive broken.

This design style (small and large) also has a lot of variance in where the filter sits...in other words, there's often a gap between the filter and mounting hole for it. This lets unfiltered water through, making it totally pointless.

The larger pitcher's handle also breaks under its own water weight. Probably not an issue for this smaller, lighter model.

Filters are around $5 each, so if you're willing to roll the dice, you're not out much for a $3.50 pitcher.

That's a really good price. I was hunting for one for ages. It's a good size if you live alone 🤷🏼 ♀️ or even for 2 but you'll always be refilling, but it's easy with a large top.

I can't think of any reason other than cost savings to eliminate the flip-oven bit that covers the spout area. I was hoping to get a new one at Costco but changed my mind after seeing the pretty big opening where dirt and dust could fall through into the water while the jug's sitting around.

Right, AFAIK, Brita only filters the water for taste.

BTW, I bought a 2-fer from Woot maybe a couple 3 years ago but never opened the second pitcher. Do the filters expire or maybe dry out over such an extended period of time? Thanks!

Last Brita pitcher I had leaked around the filter. When I called customer service, they basically told me I must have the filter installed wrong and it was impossible that they made a pitcher that was out of spec.

Did a little research before I purchased a different brand, turns out Brita doesn't remove many of the harmful chemicals.

Did you find this to be true for their Elite filters as well? Supposedly those filter for PFOAs etc as well. I found the Elites to be a good intersection of price vs. filtration ability. Other brands like ZeroWater are better obviously, but I had one of their pitchers and the filter had to be changed every 2 weeks which isn't really sustainable

We switched to Zero Water devices and haven't looked back. Much better filtration and the filters last way longer.

We keep one of these dispenser style in the fridge and pitcher style on the counter for kettle or cooking.

Depends on the filters. The Brita Elite filters are comparable to Zero Water filters and are rated for 6 months (of course that depends on your use).

pretty sure these filters don't remove anything that will benefit you in any way at all
I was about to agree with you and then I saw in the description that it removes 99% of lead...definitely don't want to go around drinking that lol

Fetch rewards also has 3,500 points when you spend $20 on Brita pitchers...worth a little over $3.00 to sweeten the deal if you want a few of these

Filters in use should be kept in the fridge to prevent mold.
