The trojan found was Malgent!/MTB , the path was C:\recovery\OEM\osver\endidev.exe
Other symptoms were the pc was extremely slow to do windows update and after reboot it sent one more warning with a new virus...
So what i did is format it all fresh install from USB key , changed boot option from bios , started anew with an official microsoft image. Then after installation it was a pain to find drivers as nothing was detected and autoinstalled, nothing on acemagician site, the wifi driver for exemple.
Managed to get it all on some forums , no virus on scan except a memory integrity warning from defender. I double checked everything and dont see anything not activated.
Now i hope there's nothing wrong in uefi and bios, you can never know.
Idk, i was going to buy an updated android tv box but almost all development stopped during the pandemic and replaced with malwsre tv boxes, so i will replace my aging tv box with a laptop(or micro itx build) htpc next year
It sounds like you don't know what UEFI runtime services are.
It sounds like you don't understand that there's a handoff between secure boot UEFI and the operating system.
In order to traverse that, there needs to be an exploit available on the receiving end.
What does this have to do with the fact that the only major reported incident by the US military for hardware they received was at a time when Lenovo was owned by IBM?
They failed to audit their hardware and nothing happened to IBM. End of story.
How about you let him comment for himself?

If you don't mind, can you provide the source? Is this true for all the Mini PCs out there? Which brands are better or safer?
I'm wanting to pick one up but worry that they all have some key logging software or something that puts our privacy or data at risk.
Dude are you seriously complaining about not being able to add a dedicated video card to a mini PC? This isn't for gaming.
I have had a night mare trying to return unopened product and waiting for refund from 3 months. I will go ahead and file a CC refund request this week.
8 GB Raspberry Pi 5 @ $85 shipped
Enclosure w/ fan & NVMe @ $61 shipped
Still need a specific wall wart @ ~$15 shipped
This seems more capable, cheaper, and pre-assembled.
