Taxes and fees are included. This is the normal price, so no reason to rush straight into it. So long as you haven't done it in recent past, take advantage of the free month first. Just make sure to cancel it a few days earlier, as they will renew it at that monthly plan a few days before the end of the trial period. You can cancel that and replace it straight into the $72 annual plan from their dashboard. Just did it last month. Perfect plan for a flip phone.

My daughter's on this plan. The data cuts off.

This is not a new deal. They've had this light plan for ages at this price

Their list of supported phones doesn't include the Samsung Galaxy A34? Is that accurate or am I missing something?

Edit: Their chat couldn't answer my question. Guess I'll skip this one.

Can't you just add 1gb in data for $2 like you can with their other plans once the 1gb runs out?

I was with xfinity for a long time but got email that they are bumping up the prices from May 1st.
Moved to a cheaper shareable plan from US mobile (they have a nice page to navigate account+pin information for porting).

According to the link, that's only free calling/texting, no data with their SIM cards
That is correct. The person I replied to doesn't need data.

You can however use email, maps and rideshare apps with a sim, so that's a bonus.

Is 1GB data good for a LTE smart watch? Mainly for son to wear while riding his bike and going to friends houses. Not sure how much data is consumed by these devices just for basic talk and text and tracking. No health monitoring etc.
Assuming most of the time he will be tethered to his mobile phone, 1GB should be more than enough. On the high end, estimates are around 500MB a month. As a benchmark, music streaming would most likely use the most data by far: 1GB is about 24 hours of music streaming at high quality.

Who cares if this isn't a NEW deal - it's still a GOOD deal! Some folks are jumping for joy to have found this deal today.

Some people are just never happy. No matter how good the deal is, they must think up something negative to comment about it. Maybe it's a superiority thing. Meanwhile, the rest of us are pocketing the savings. Slickdeals is a great forum for that, and has saved me thousands over the years.

Not with the $6 plan.

Last month I debated on the $6 plan (billed annually) as I use very little data on my extra phone. I asked the rep if it was $2 per GB if I needed extra data and he said no. On that plan it's $2 for 100mb EEK! I opted for the $10 plan that includes 2GB of data instead

I just did a chat and attached screenshot is what the rep said the prices are to top up data on the Light Plan

I'm not quite confident enough to drop down from unlimited Verizon data to 1GB, but given that I just finished paying off my phone last month and I'm still facing an $80 per month bill I decided to jump ship and try out the more premium $23 per month plan based on all of the positive comments here. I'm optimistic… This looks like a great move in the right direction, and I can always downgrade in the future once I get a handle on my real life usage but I am going to save tons of money in the meantime either way!

Thanks all for bringing this to light - i'd previously been looking at Visible and Mint Mobile, but Visible seemed a little wonky with deprioritization and I don't trust T-Mobile yet after experiencing their poor network coverage 15 years ago. US Mobile seems to hit the sweet spot.

I was with Verizon for MANY years and first switched to Visible+ during their $25 for life promo.. Saw zero difference in service. Then I switched to US Mobiles $180yr 10GB plan and again see zero difference in service.

The one thing that did happen is I no longer have wifi-calling on my S20+ using Warp 5G. This IS a known issue (some Samsung phones) and US Mobile will act like they aren't aware of it. When I say I don't have wifi-calling I mean the option has completely disappeared from the phone settings! This is a deal breaker for some so be aware of it.

Their suggestion was to switch my phone to GSM which I'm not interested in doing as my extra phone (iPhone) is on their GSM. I like having 2 different networks as 1 works better than the other in some areas

Thanks for the info Smilie 5GB for $10 isn't bad, but it probably doesn't carry over

Does anyone have experience with any of these companies while traveling outside of the US?

Can you receive text messages like OTP codes from US entities, like a bank? Even if there is an extra charge for that?

Thanks in advance for any input.

No, top up prices are more expensive on this plan.
