I bought the white unit recently at Walmart for $350, got 1.5% CB from my credit card and will get another 10% credit card shopping rewards. This is lower than recent sales of $342. It's great if you have the Amazon Chase card for another 5-6% rewards.

I've an open first floor and I run a 300 and a 300S at each end and put the 400 in the center. All are operating in Smart mode (auto on/off depending on the air quality). I notice the 300 don't turn on as often. I run different units in the bedrooms and office.
I guess it really depends on the layout of your space. I run an air filter with uv in the basement.
