I have two of these, and even on the lowest setting, they really move a lot of air. And they look nice, too.

These do not look "retro" they are made with cheap stamped parts and a modern guard.... They look like someone said lets make a cheap fan and call it retro so it sells better.

To be fair, that accurately describes pretty much anything I've seen in the last 20 years that's labeled "retro".

I bought the 8" version of this fan last year at the local Walmart on clearance. My wife and I think it is great - we like the retro look, and it pushes a lot of air and is surprising heavy for a small fan. I ordered a couple of these larger ones - thanks OP!.

Have two of them on my work desk for about 2 years now. They look good and move a normal amount of air (nothing special, but not horrible). Metal outside, plastic inside including the lever to start it. Had a third one at home that lasted less than a year.
