I don't think I'll ever buy a CPU without onboard graphics, but as a product, the 12700 performs really well for gaming.

I have the 12700k and it is a beast. Plays D4 on 2k settings without any issue or hesitation. I am not really a fan of the way intel is doing the cores, with physical cores and extended cores... when I upgrade I may switch to AMD

The 12700k with graphics is $221 also. I just picked it up for $225 a few weeks back on Amazon. Really great processor!

5-8% in some tasks, I believe there is almost no difference for gaming if that's your usecase

Pretty much. Lets me still use it if the GPU craps. Small insurance cost.
