Youre asking for a comparison of a 100 REI blanket vs a 12 Walmart 1. I own neither but feel pretty confident saying, the 100 REI is def better quality but prob not worth anything near $100 lol. I'm gonna guess this Walmart one, quality wise is every bit worth $12 and maybe not a penny more, but at least fairly valued for what it is. It's 12 bucks. Buy it and find out.

It's a cheap sleeping bag without a cheap zipper.

That's a good description and sounds like exactly what I need, something where you could just pick it up and shake dirt or leaves off easily. Reviews say it's easy to wash as well so I'm going to try it.

I got an REI camp blanket as a gift and think it's great. Somehow the REI camp blanket costs $100. Has anyone use both the REI camp blanket and this one? Any comparison?

Looks like a good deal but one of the reviews says 4lbs? Anyone know if that is true rather than the description 1.3lbs?

I have two of these… very versatile and I don't have to worry too much about them because of the price.

How big are these when actually in their case/bag? Backpack minimal size? Thanks

Looks like it might be kinda heavy, but probably good for summer car camping.

I bought a few of these to keep in the car in case of emergency. Also come in handy while car camping with the family or at outdoor events.

They aren't really that small. Basically just a bit smaller than a compressed sleeping bag. Slightly larger than a full size football.

maybe this is the answer: Not 1.3 lbs
Felt heavier than I expected out of the box. I weighed it on my kitchen scale, in the stuff sack, and came up with 3.0 lbs. That makes it closer to 1.3 kg. Didn't open up the blanket or try it out as I might return it since it's not as light as I expected, so I can't say much about the quality, warmth, etc.https://www.walmart.com/reviews/p...4?filter=2
the walmart way to convert 1.3kg to lbs: replace "kg" with "lbs"Ha ha

This blanket is twice the size I figured it would be, like 2 1/2 - 3 footballs in size. Might keep it anyway, but not as a lightweight portable park blanket.
