I've had this TV for a while now. I like everything about it except that Google TV doesn't allow the Xfinity stream app so you have to use a fire stick. Other than that, it was a great purchase! Bought on 8/19/23 for $579.99 at Best Buy.
I understand from Reddit the U7K and the Costco U75K are the same. Why would you get this when you can get the Costco one[costco.com]for the same price with the extra warranty?

How is the quality compared to say Vizio back in the day? My M60 just died, and need a replacement, but I hear Vizio is junk now. And figured Hisense was kind of crap. But this looks decent. And native 144hz.
I guess I should Google first lol. Seems like a decent TV but Hisense quality is still poor it seems.

Your m60 died.. how can you elaborate?.. mines did too after years of a great tv.. butt i ask because there models has a micro fracturing in the solder balls on the main chip you could do the youtube fix or buy a replacement board for 50-100$ thats what i did

How is this tv for gaming on a ps5? Rtings suggests it as a budget friendly ps5 tv but says this "VRR leads to image quality issues when the refresh rate hovers around 100Hz." Not sure that truly affects gaming. Currently gaming on my old Panasonic plasma.

Zero comparison. This isn't the best TV on the market by a mile, but you'll be blown away.
I bought the u8k in October. Great picture quality, lots of settings, weird quirks in the UI. I want to use the built in android TV but the experience is buggy. Random lags, apps not opening, needing to do a hard restart to make it work every couple of days.
I would buy another one in the future. I think it's a great value for the picture quality you get. I wouldn't buy one for my parents, they value an easy to use set that always works without having to tinker.

Yeah I've read that, and I've been doing a lot of troubleshooting to see if its the power supply board or the main board. Got a thread open on badcaps.net. But haven't been able to narrow it down to power supply or main board. And didn't want to waste $100 on a main board if it's the PS.
I could try the re-flow option since I've given up on it I guess.

Definitely didn't expect it to be the best by any means lol. But in this price range it seems really decent. Just don't want it crapping out in my in a year or two.
