Would the following be correct (as an example)? ---
I will have difficulty moving my Tracfone service to an unlocked Moto Edge Plus purchased on Ebay.
That why I don't use Verizon. So many issues/steps/wasting time.
If you want to unlock it's highly recommended to activate & not change anything for 60 days to be safe.
TF allows hotspot only on the highest cost monthly plan, not bundle deals - has nothing to do with model of phone.
I only use the data with my Google voice number on the old old phone(Samsung). So I was thinking BLU might have hotspot, which I could use with old phone, delay moving back to old phone till I get it unlocked. However, tracfone service in BLU does not support hotspot.
I plan on getting a BYOP SIM for $1 and moving the service from BLU back to the old phone in a day or two. I suspect that means I cannot unlock the BLU phone after 45 days correct? I think in order to get it unlocked I would have to keep the BLU active with the SIM it came on for 45 days. Any thoughts on how to get the BLU unlocked?

Also, what happens to your 5000 minutes and 5000 txt after you activated? I know it becomes unlimited min/txt for a year. So, do you get your 5000 minutes and 5000 txt back after one year of unlimited min/txt?

those 5000 mins and txt are gone. No separate buckets for later use.
I dont have an answer for you if I add 1500/1500/1.5gb on my unlimited account. But I do plan to harvest enough of these $50 plan just to keep my account going for years to come. I think $50 bucks for 24 gb with unlimited call/txt for a yr is very reasonable, plus a "free" backup phone.
