The 6ghz backhaul driving the mesh connectivity provides great speed and performance, but the capabilities of the mobile only Deco software is limited and disappointing for me. For example, what appears to be a vlan for IoT is not, rather just a label and all IoT devices can see the rest of the network. If you're wanting richer controls and config, consider another product.
My girlfriend just got Astound internet with two of the eero pro 6e beacons. Complete crap since day one last week. Nothing but problems. Today, both of them wouldn't work via ethernet to the hitron modem/router. Even after pulling power and rebooting everything. Ran into costco today and got these. Paid way more than I wanted to but she works from home and needs internet. At least it only took ten minutes or so to setup and it was working when I left. This will cover 5 of her houses as far as square footage though.
I wish these mesh units would have a base unit with 4 ethernet ports. With 3, you can't have wired backhaul to the two satellites and wired connections.
Ran out at lunch to get this as my Orbi kicked the bucket after almost 6 years. We'll see how it performs but not thrilled with the 3 ethernet ports in the back. Flip side is It seems I am getting better coverage with 2 satellites as opposed to the 3 I had with the old Orbi. Thanks for flagging this OP.
I was excited to get this. After a few days using it the channel width keeps switching to 80MHz due to "radar". The "disable" button will not work and it is always switching. Returning.
Grabbed this set yesterday, and got it all setup really quickly. I love it doesn't kill the WiFi for the family after every time I change a setting. Still have a couple of older WiFi light switches that haven't connected up yet.

I bought this a few months ago and it has been working pretty well.... I'm happy. I'm only using it in access point mode though. Sure, some things could probably be improved or made smoother, but it works and has been very reliable (knock on wood).
On one older device, I did have to configure the mesh to stick to 2.4 GHz for that device because it kept dropping... maybe because it couldn't properly handle but 2.4 and 5 Ghz networks using the same SSID.

I actually get lag-spikes playing FPS cames (very noticeable b/c i play at a high-level). I am hardwired directly from my computer to router to modem.
Does anyone else have issues - i have to go back to my old router/modem combo because of the spikes. And then plug this in into the modem/router
