So guys, I'm very mobile, which means no second monitor. 15.6" is too small for gaming imo. Any thoughts on a 16" like this vs waiting for a 17"?
I'd recommend you go with the 250HZ model instead. That has Mini LED and the difference between Mini LED and IPS is night and day. It'll cost a little more but it's worth every penny.

If you consider 15 too small for gaming, then a 16" isn't going to be much of an improvement. You're only gaining more vertical space. 17-18" is more comfortable for gaming, but bulkier. Many consider 17-18" more as a desktop replacement than a mobile unit. I personally haven't had issues gaming on a 15-16," and would probably go with that if I'm constantly on the go. I primarily use a 17" for gaming, but would hate to have to lug that around everywhere.
How you're mobile is going to matter a lot. A 17" is going to be a PITA for a student carrying it on their back vs. transporting it in your car everywhere.

Gonna suck either way. But cool thing is most hotel rooms have TVs with selectable source/HDMI so you can do most things!
