Have these. The step mechanism works well, however, they slip and slide around on non-carpeted floors when you press it. Doesn't have enough weight to it to grip the floor.

Anyone have these? I've found the step-on mechanism tends to break on other models. Is there a way to remove the lid if/when it breaks and is it as a regular bin?

Stainless steel product in cart was $11.66. When I added the two-pack to the cart it was $23.32. Shipping both times was $6.99. If shipping was free on the single stainless steel I would have purchased, but not for $6.99 shipped.
