I really wanted to like both of these, but like most anime-style games, they were just really mediocre. I spent way more time than I should have (at least 30 hours in Tales of Arise and 20ish in Scarlet Nexus), hoping that something would click and I'd really start enjoying these. That never happened and I finally cut my losses and never finished them. They're just not worth the time. Not even if they were free. Tales of Arise is on PS+ Extra, btw. Not sure about Scarlet Nexus.

They're only good if they have a decent battle system and a way to speed up or pass the horrible dialog and stories in anime games. I've never last more than 20 minutes in a Neptunia game.

I played quite a bit of Tales through Game Pass. I was having fun, but there is just too much meaningless dialogue for me. I had to move on.
