Is QSLAM the new LIDAR? I'm not familiar. But I know (for me personally) these vacuums are useless without LIDAR or some kind of mapping

QSLAM is the navigation technique. According to the description, this is LIDAR hardware:

An expert navigator, Dustin uses LiDar and his unparalleled QSLAM with Realtime computing. No need to "train your dragon"-Dustin identifies rooms at first glance, and doesn't waste your time with exploration sessions.

Thanks! I guess I'm in to try one.. worst case I'll just give it back to HD

Last time I got a no name vac from slick deals I think it was for $20 on Amazon and actually had LiDAR. It was amazing and lasted years

I believe $199 from Sams club one don't have self-emptying function.

I bought this on the Sam's Club a month or two ago. I returned it. Rarely emptied itself properly. Would miss everything around any edges, whether furniture or cabinets.

Honestly, its not a $600 botvac, it wasn't even worth me keeping @199. My previous Neato D# was a far better unit.

For $199 I would go with a more reputable vacuum brand. These vacuums are highly software dependent and if b0bsweep goes out of business or ownership changes hands you can't be sure that the vacuum will continue being supported.

I got suckered into buying this awhile ago for the same price. Get something better. It works ok for a little bit but will quickly break down.

Some issues: If it dies and you put it back on the charger, it will charge enough to wake up and move slightly so it dies again.

Doesn't know what to do around office chairs, it goes in between the legs and doesn't know how to back up and leave.

After a couple of months mine will drive into any solid object and just get stuck, so it's kind of useless.
