I've just checked this brand [hooyman.com] and it seems that it is part of American Outdoor Brands [aob.com] (though I agree - it still sounds silly).

These random Chinese tool companies with imaginary MSRP and fake reviews make it hard to judge id the price is good.
Buy the kobalt or the Husky for $35, and you have an actual warranty.
I find that an old chopping axe and shovel are very effective in that situation, more so than the pickaxe.
