If you want a hammer drill get an SDS one.

It's a perfectly fine drill for DIY use and setting small anchors into masonry. That said, you can get better models like the 805 for not much more.

Might even be cheaper or same at Lowe's or Home Depot w/ battery hack.

Man I really want their pruners but don't have any DeWalt power tools and don't want to buy into ANOTHER ecosystem. If this had a 4ah battery it might have been worth it.
