How do these compare to the battery boxes with essentially a lawn mower battery in them? (The battery in those stop working after a couple of years.)
How do these work? Seems like they are not big enough to provide much current, also, the wires to the clip leads don't seem big enough to handle much current…

Lithium batteries have much higher energy density than lead acid, a much more usable range of charge, and some lithium jump packs are capable of putting out enough amperage for starting big commercial diesel vehicles.
I have a couple of this design jump starter but AstroAI brand and they've been great in the rare occasions I needed them. I think both were around 80% and worked flawlessly. One is 1500A and the other 2000A. I'm pretty sure the first one I bought was from a deal here on SD.
One I keep in my daily driver and I happened to see a guy in need of jump a few months ago. Although I could have used regular jumper cables, I was excited to try the jump starter and it worked great for him. The other unit I keep in a bag on the back of a vintage motorcycle with a charging system issue and it jumps it just fine when needed.
I set a Google Calendar reminder for every 6 months to check the charge on each so that I don't accidentally end up with no charge when I need it. I'm happy with the peace of mind these offer.

I cut and pasted last night and it didn't work. Worked now.
Thanks for the heads up - there should be a redemption option under the coupon to clip as well if the code didn't work for you.
