I just called a few BJ's in my area (30303) and I think the system updated for the ones in stock to show $847.98 total as the price after the manufacturer's coupon. I did call a store that is OOS and they have it listed at the ~$900-ish price, so it seems you can only find this deal if it's the floor model. Which means a day of driving around and looking for it on the floor.

Also, I offered to buy the new in box and asked if the display would be discounted and she said "nah" lol

Those stores have the price of the TV at 1450 and with the 602$ coupon it comes down to 847. some stores have it at 924 and when the 602 coupon is applied, the price drops to 322. went to 4 stores around my area .. no luck

Yeah unfortunately they do not price match other BJ's clubs…but you may get lucky if there is a cool manager. I tried pulling the majority of the tricks out of the bag. Found one location with 1 in box and one floor model. Asked if I bought the last one at current price, could get the floor model at the discounted price of $920 then add the coupon, but the lady was not having it smh.

Sorry to hear about your experience. Guess it was more of a 1 off deal. The guy that was helping me load the TV mentioned that they have massive discounts on big ticket items when there are last pieces left. He said employees do take advantage of it and I feel it may have been in my case too if I hadn't seen this post. Could have wound up in an employees hands cause I felt a shadiness vibe when I arrived on site to grab the TV. They weren't very enthusiastic about the TV leaving.

I think the only way is to call and find out if the floor model is marked for sale at the $924 price tag. When I initially called, she said it was $924, then shortly afterwards said there is a $602 manufacturer coupon.

Hahaha, customer service has gone down hill. Majority of sales reps give you that "what do you want?" look and don't want to be bothered. It's rare that you'll find someone willing to help. If stores started paying their employees commission based, you'll have a whole different ball game.

True, but the flip side of that is that when the employees get paid on commission they often become vultures trying to get you to buy something and they try to get you to buy something more expensive than what you actually need.

Pros and cons to each model I guess.

Indeed. Was reminiscing the dealership model while I wrote that.

But I remember back in the Circuit City days, some of the employees received commission for certain departments, and they were really knowledgeable in the products. Really miss that store.
