That would be a "No". You would get flight credit refunded. Not points. You either buy points, or earn them from travel purchased and flown.

That's good to hear, I know it used to be that way, and then for awhile it seems they blocked it (if you re-booked it would just not allow it to be the same flight) so it sounds like they re-enabled that to take load off of people calling in to get that done manually over the phone.

Me too. Worked for me. Got some points back.

Also booked a few cheapie flights in September...may or may not go, but price was right...and they will likely change the flight number/schedule/etc between then and now, and therefore let me re-book more premium day/times within 10 days for no additional points.

Looks like for this sale I needed to rebook since it was a coupon code and not a price sale, but 15 min of work and both of my flights within the sale period were heavily discounted and I saved about 10,000 points. Not too shabby!

Because of the Promo Code, I had to cancel and rebook, but that was not a big deal for me. That's how I did it.

If they change your flight number or if they tweak the schedule only by 1 or 2 minutes, they allow you to re-book at no extra charge. That is what I was referring to. The longer 'out' you book, the more likely this will happen. That is what I was referring to.

I had 6 cash bookings, one of them ended up as a better deal with points so canceled and rebooked. Better than nothing that's for sure

Rebooked the return leg of a flight I had coming up to get back some points. Flight there didn't have any qualifying flights for this promo.
