Yes, Benchmade prices have gotten stupid. However, it's a good opportunity to get a great knife at a fair price. For the SD bargain hunters who are happy with DHgate junk (still works, but not a quality product) - this isn't for you. If you want a Benchmade without feeling like you've been robbed, this is for you.
I remember thinking the same, but time will tell. Chinese knock offs aren't made of the same quality metals for the blades, body or scales. I bought some benchmade gold class knock offs, some zero tolerance knock offs before. Won't keep an edge. Id put the blade quality up there with the husky brand at home depot.
Yes real Benchmades are expensive, but I've had some for 15+ years that are still working flawlessly today.
As for losing them, that's not a problem I have, it's always attached to my pocket if not being used throughout the day so I don't lose them.

Yea nice knives but super expensive. And the knock-offs from DHgate are dang near 90% of the way there for a fraction of the cost. Makes it harder and harder to justify as Benchmade keeps raising their prices. I've started selling off my genuine Benchmade knives. The thought of loosing a $150-280 knife just isn't acceptable to me anymore.
Coupon code is "FCBM30", in case you're including the other bolded words. The code worked for me for a 940 original Osborne. I'm going to get in trouble with the wife again for this one.

Nope, still not working for the 940-2 with sharpener.

I think I had the same issue last time around with the blue Benchmade bugout with the sharpener. Couldn't use the code so I ended up buying the one without the sharpener. I already have a worksharp so didn't feel the need to get a 2-5 dollar sharpener that I'm not going to use.
