Has anyone shucked these? Are they CMR or SMR drives inside?

Thanks! I went out to mine in Central Cali and got one because of your comment. There were five more there and $162 on Instacart

Turlock Costco had about a dozen yesterday. With the SKU number, people can call around the different Costcos and check prices and stock levels without wasting gas. Glad to help. The ones I bought are quiet and running great.

I looked up the Seagate website and it dosen't appear to have any SMR 14TB drives, so it looks like they should be CMR. https://www.seagate.com/products/cmr-smr-list/
Edit: Looked up drive info on CrystalDisk without shucking. Drive shows to be ST14000NM0121 which are Mach.2 Exos 2x14. There is a reddit thread that discusses it at https://www.reddit.com/r/DataHoar...exos_2x14/

My Costco had these down to $99.99. Check your local Instacart since these are no longer on the Costco website directly.

Updated Comment: (And I thought I discovered it first. Thank you, Jimmdean.) The Costco price has been adjusted to $99.97 each. But here is the real kicker: If you already bought one or more, Costco will refund the difference (including tax) if you go inside and ASK FOR A PRICE ADJUSTMENT REFUND WITHIN 30 DAYS OF YOUR ORIGINAL PURCHASE. If you bought the deal, make tracks to your local Costco and collect over $50 in found money. Cheers!
