This light is squarley aimed at professionals and car enthusiast. The one down side in my view is the length of the swing arm may be an issue for those without a lift

It may be very handy/useful to certain professions, but it's still just a light made of mostly plastic. They're price gouging and the markup is absurd.
Edit: I haven't checked out the prices of M12 lights for a few years, I didn't realize how expensive they have become since I bought all of my various M12 lights years ago. I guess with the hack, the price isn't too far out of line.
