I am a beginner and I like using these alignment things to help make the provided lines bolder and more visible. Will I still mark up balls with something like this after playing 20+ years like you have? Probably not. But for now, it gives me a little extra confidence boost!

I use one of these that makes 3 parallel lines. It's improved my putting to the point where I may change my username.
