This comes with the 3 attachments as in the new retail box. Great price here.

Just bought one for a higher price from the Best Buy 1-Day Sale. Arrived, and the only thing the cook does not like is it is too heavy for the cook to move.

unless things have changed, kitchenaids business model is customer service / keep them happy. a certain product may have certain design flaws, however the rep on the phone is gonna do whatever he/she can to leave you satisfied. if the product is known to be good, then you'll have a very nice experience.

I own and fixed 5 KitchenAid mixers over the years. This is good deal, but would refer the Cuisinart 14 cup Food Process or larger. You can do more with the food processor (slice, mince, shred, dough, mix, etc...) in few minutes.

Wait, you mix cake and cookie batter in the food processor?

Bought a refurbished unit and it was so loud, deafening. Nothing like what my mom or brother in laws sounds like. Put the zip tie back on the power cord and promptly sent it back. They didn't ask any questions at least and gave me the full refund and free return shipping.

Yes, it works fine using the pulse function.

Wow, that thing must be a beast. A double batch of choc chip cookies bogs my mixer down.

For those who are considering buying, my only .02 is get the new mixing blade with the spatula scrapper (have to investigate sizing for your unit and they do not make it easy or clear). I got mine at wally world cheaper than the zon or even kitchen aiders web site with a coupon.

I ordered mine Sunday afternoon, still hasn't shipped, with an arrival of Friday. Anyone else have theirs shipped yet? I'm told their customer support is great from family.

Same boat here. Customer support told me this item is not available anymore, but they still selling it and you can add it to cart and buy it again, exact same color and model.
Idk.

what does refurbished mean in this context?
does it mean the mixer was defective and has since been repaired?
or
does it mean customer return/used/open box?

Did I read somewhere that the design of the 6 qt is more robust than the 5.5? I thought for sure I read that on SD awhile ago.

Idk.

Mine ended up shipping late yesterday, and should arrive Saturday. I ordered it Sunday afternoon, if that helps. Weird though

Mine arrived Saturday. Made my first loaf of bread Sunday. Great machine, looks brand new and no weird sounds or issues so far. 👍🏼

For small batches, get the smaller mixer. Either 3.5 or 4.5 quart. We've had multiple sizes from KitchenAid specifically and find the big ones never work well for small batches. Simply doesn't pick up the dough.

I purchased the 5.5qt in Contour Silver on Tuesday and it came on Sunday. It came in a refurbished box and it looked brand new and runs great.

I thought those are completely different when it comes to what a mixer can do.
