youre right , it was in sept, but sept is the beginning of the fall planting season--all i cvan tell you is that it worked fine and is thriving
Speaking from experience, planting grass is MUCH better in the fall. I've tried many times to grow in the spring, and success is based solely on luck. Seed too early, and you risk frost. Seed too late, and the young grass burns and dies in summer heat. With either one, heavy spring rain can wash the seeds away. I've wasted a lot of money.
That said, this stuff works pretty well for patches, but you'll still need to break up the dirt before putting it down. If you don't, the grass will have a very hard time becoming established in the existing soil.
